Good Question 12

It's Tuesday Night Quiz Night.

Tonight's question is an ID one.

What is this bird?

I will post the answer on Thursday night as I am going away to Grandma's tomorrow for a night, as school are on strike. I'll be looking for the fledged Pied Flycatchers.

Good luck if you have a go.

The answer was of course Grasshopper Warbler

I should have cropped it a bit closer to make it trickier. Well done everyone that got it right.

  3. Hi Findlay, I just took a quick look through my book (not much time) and it looks a bit like a Meadowlark (no idea if Eastern or Western) or possibly, a Bobolink? Juvenile, perhaps? Thank you so much for dropping by my blog and for telling me the good news story about your grandfather. That was much appreciated. I'm surprised your school is on strike in June but what a great opportunity to have fun at your Grandma's!

  4. Hmmm, I wanted to say Skylark or a Lark of sorts, but now I'm leaning towards a pipit, but which one, lets go quite rare and say Tree pipit
