Today's post is only going to be a short one about the Wood Pigeons that keep coming for tea every evening. This one was just landing even though there wasn't much food left.
Next doors House Martins still haven't fledged, but it must be any day soon.
Dad has taken the sheep wire off the bottom off the fence because we are hoping that the local hedgehogs might come for a visit. My infra red camera will hopefully get a picture of one.
I read about your blog on "Rambles with a Camera". The wood pigeon is one we don't have here in the US (or at least I've never seen one). We do have martins, but I've never been able to get a good picture -- I hope you get to see them fledge.
ReplyDeleteFindlay, how lucky are you that you might get hedgehogs visiting! If I take the fence down at my house, I will have rabbits or deer eating everything, I would love to have hedgehogs, but they don't live in South Dakota, USA.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at my blog, you can see the creatures that visit my yard.
Beautiful picture you show. Nice that you can come up with your dad on "photo safari". Hanne Bente
ReplyDeleteI'm here from a link left at Andrew's blog...and have very much enjoyed visiting with you and your new found adventure with blogging about birds. And, may I say your blog title is such a perfect fit!!!
