A VERY WET DAY

I've just come back from shopping with my dad I looked out of the window and counted 46 House Sparrows in the garden (a new record for the garden).

I have been getting some great pictures of sparrows with my camera and am just starting to get the hang of getting good pictures.

How many sparrow do you get in your gardens?

And finally I had to mention this because I got the most beautiful picture of a Collared Dove.

Off to enjoy the rainy view from the garden before I watch some of the olympics.

  10. Hi there - Welcome to WBW! Hope to see more of your pictures.

Down here in Australia Sparrows are not native - but we still have them! They were brought over by some of the early settlers from England. I don't think we ever get more than 5 or 6 in our garden.

Keep posting and see you next week - Stewart M - Australia

  11. I remember the first time I saw a Eurasian Collared Dove...I thought I had left home and ended up in paradise.

Sparrows are a difficult subject to photograph = at least for me. You did good.

I have TWO pages of birds...

One, my Sunday Meme Linking post at The Bird D'Pot [birds: some black bellied Whistling Ducks and more]

Two, my personal blog with photos of Brown Pelicans at sea.

Do stop by for a visit if you can find time. I'd love your company.
